Day trips from Marbella

Marbesa is a perfect base for exploring the province. These are the day trips our guests love, with the real distances from the studio.

Whitewashed lanes, flowers and good terraces around the Plaza de los Naranjos, 15 minutes away.

Luxury yachts, boutiques and buzz, 25 minutes away.

45 minutes away: the Picasso Museum, the Pompidou, the Alcazaba, Muelle Uno and Calle Larios. Easily a whole day.

The gorge and the Puente Nuevo impress everyone (~1 h 15 by car).

A whitewashed, flower-filled village with sea views, half an hour away.

The Nasrid jewel as a day trip (~2 h). Buy Alhambra tickets weeks ahead.

The Giralda, the Real Alcázar and the Santa Cruz quarter, about 2 h 30 by car.

The Mezquita-Catedral and the old Jewish quarter, about 2 h 15 away.

The Rock an hour away (bring your passport): the monkeys, the nature reserve and views of Africa.

The vertiginous walkway hung over the gorge, 1 h 15 away. Book ahead.

The Balcón de Europa, the Maro cliffs and a monumental cave, an hour up the motorway.

Africa one ferry away: from Tarifa (1 h 15 by car) the boat crosses the Strait in an hour. Passport needed.

The Costa's garden: whitewashed old town, a murals trail and the Orchidarium, half an hour west.
